About One Body Ministries ::

One Body Ministries, Inc. was started in 2002 in the home of Chris and Terri Dunn. The ministry began as a time of prayer, fellowship, and playing video games with their son and his friends. This soon grew to include youth from Faith Community Church, located at 6801 S. East St, Indianapolis, IN and inner-city youth from First Free Methodist Church, located at 2024 E. 12th St, Indianapolis, IN; as well as various local denominations.

The Dunn’s opened the group to all young people starting at age eight. Soon, the group was able to bring together youth and adults of all ages, forming what is known today as “One Body Ministries, Inc.”. Children under the age of eleven were welcomed when accompanied by their parents. The ministry soon outgrew their home and they began to meet in the Fellowship Hall at Faith Community Church.

On May 9th 2007, the Dunn’s purchased a building, established a board, and began the process to become a 501 (C) 3 Non-Profit Organization. The non-profit status was approved on Feb. 14, 2008. The servants of One Body Ministries, Inc. are currently working to prepare the building for occupancy while continuing to meet in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

One Body meets regularly and ministers to a large group of young people from the inner-city and surrounding areas. The youth are provided a hot meal along with soft drinks and snacks. They listen to a speaker, join in praise and worship, and enjoy a safe environment to play games and fellowship with other young people.
